Your files never leave your phone. Every PDF and image tool in PDF Toolkit India — including Aadhaar masking — runs entirely on your device. We do not upload, store, read or sell your documents. We do not ask you to create an account.

Who We Are

PDF Toolkit India ("the App") is developed and published by SyntheticCode, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information is handled when you use the App, and your choices. It is written to meet the Google Play User Data policy and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Your Documents and Images

When you use Compress, Merge, Split, Image to PDF, PDF to Image, Aadhaar Mask, E-Sign, Protect PDF or PAN Formatter:

Aadhaar masking: Your e-Aadhaar is read and masked on your device. Text recognition uses Google ML Kit's on-device model, which is bundled inside the App and works offline — your Aadhaar image and number are not sent to Google, to us, or to anyone else. The masked output is created as images, so the hidden digits are permanently removed from the file.

Information We Do Not Collect

Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores a few settings locally on your phone, such as whether you have completed the welcome screens and how many free compressions you have used today. This information stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.

Advertising (Free Version)

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and app information, and ad interaction data. This is collected by Google, not by us, under Google's Privacy Policy. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads on Android at Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), the App asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown. Pro members see no ads.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Payments are handled by Google Play Billing. We never receive your card, UPI or bank details. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase receipts and basic device information (such as OS version and app version) so it can confirm whether you have an active Pro plan and let you restore purchases. See the Google Payments Privacy Notice and RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services Used by the App

Permissions

Data Security

Because your documents are processed on your device, they are protected by your phone's own security. Communication with Google Play, AdMob and RevenueCat uses encrypted HTTPS connections. PDFs you protect with the App use AES-256 encryption.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect personal information ourselves, there is no account data for us to delete. To request deletion of purchase-related data held by RevenueCat for your app user ID, follow the steps on our Delete Your Data page.

Children

The App is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child's information has been collected through ads or purchases, contact us and we will help.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us about any personal data processed in connection with the App, request its correction or erasure, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. We will respond within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the App changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the App's release notes on Google Play.
